Our amazing founder, Jo, has followed in the footsteps of leading figures from the business world by winning an award at the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Jo was crowned Maker & Creator Entrepreneur of the Year for the South East at a glittering event at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. And these are not just any awards, they’re often described as the “Grammys of entrepreneurship.”
The awards, sponsored by the Allica Bank, are in their eleventh year and previous winners include the Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett, who won Great British Entrepreneur of the Year 2018.
At the ceremony, attended by over 1,400 business innovators and leading entrepreneurs, guests were treated to a delicious three-course meal and entertained by MC for the night, Wynne Evans (better known as the Go Compare opera singer). Surely nothing compares to that!
Still on cloud nine after receiving the award, Jo said:
“It’s really lovely to be recognised for all the hard work. I’m overjoyed.” She went on to thank the panel of judges and Thumbsie‘s many thousands of happy and loyal customers.
Commenting on Jo’s success, the judging panel, which included Tej Lalvani of Dragon’s Den and former Apprentice winner Suzie Ma, said:
