COVID-19 Update 21st April 2020:
We are so sorry to hear that some of our orders are taking longer than expected, we are sure that the Royal Mail is doing it’s best to get these to you as soon as they can within their own working restraints, so please bear with us. If you have received an email to say its on it’s way then we are unable to track it, so please be patient, thank you.
COVID-19 Update 23rd March 2020:
As we are an online business we will continue to operate. We will however be posting orders less frequently. Please can you make sure that you are extra vigilant when measuring and get in touch if you are unsure, we will of course exchange items that do not fit properly but would prefer to use the postal service as few times as we can. We understand that it will be important for families to not spread the virus amongst themselves, so for some stopping thumb sucking will be a priority. Please get in touch if we can help in anyway.
These are unforeseen, uncertain and troubling times but we want to assure your that we are still beavering away making thumb and finger guards for your children.
All of our seamstresses have put in place even more stringent cleaning and hygiene practices whilst they are sewing.
We are trying to help minimise the spread of the virus by ordering more in bulk and reducing the amount of weekly deliveries we make. It might mean you have to wait a bit longer for your order but we hope that you understand.
We deliver Worldwide except USA.
Free UK delivery on orders of three fabric guards or more and ALL OF OUR BUNDLES. For other orders postage and packaging is charged at £1.80 per parcel for first class UK postage. Please note we will not be able to provide a tracking number. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 24hr service.
Postage and packaging is charged at £2.85 per parcel for first-class postage for European countries outside of the UK.
Postage and packaging is charged at £3.80 per parcel for the rest of the World outside of Europe, but not including the USA. We are really sorry but we do not send Thumbsies® to USA. Please note that Custom charges may apply and that you will be responsible for paying them.
Please allow 1-7 working days for delivery from receipt of payment for your order to arrive. Please note deliveries outside the UK will take a little longer. If you need your Thumbsie(s)® in a hurry then please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we might be able to get them to you sooner (so sorry but this is unlikely whilst restrictions due to Corvid-19 are in place). For orders in the UK will receive notification by email when your order has been sent by Royal Mail 24hr service. Please do allow a reasonable amount of time for the order to get to you before getting in touch especially around busy times.
Please try on your thumb or finger guard as soon as you can to ensure you are happy with the sizing and comfort. The guard should fit comfortably around the wrist. If you need to exchange them please see below. If you are happy with your purchase then please wash the items before use. We take great care whilst making your thumb and finger guards but we do recommend pre-washing especially if your child has known allergies. Wash on a 30-degree delicate setting or hand wash; use a low temperature if tumble drying and a standard iron setting.
If you have made a mistake and ordered the wrong size, don’t worry just drop us an email on email@example.com and we will happily send an alternative size when we receive the others back. To receive a refund you must contact us before returning the thumb guards within 48 hours of receiving your Thumbsie(s)®. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR THE FABRIC GUARD as we will not be able to exchange it and return in their original packaging. You will be responsible for the postage of the return and may be charged for the postage of the correct order. Please note that Custom charges may apply if you are retuning them from outside the UK, and that you will be responsible for paying the charges.
If you order a bespoke guard then we cannot offer a refund or exchange as they will have been made especially for you. Please make sure you take time when measuring.
Please bear in mind that these thumb and finger guards are a tool to aid children to stop sucking. Success is not guaranteed. The parent/carer will need to encourage the child to stop thumb sucking. Reward charts and our book ‘Thumbs up for Ted’s Thumbsie’ are designed to help with this.
To receive a refund you must contact us before returning the thumb guards within 48 hours of receiving your Thumbsie(s)®. We will then provide you with a returns address. Please return your fabric guards in their original packaging. Please note that Custom charges may apply if you are retuning them from outside the UK, and that you will be responsible for paying the charges.
We have a non-returnable policy if the Thumbsie® thumb and finger guards have been worn.
We will however refund if the Thumbsie® is faulty.
Please note we are not liable for any packages lost in the post, and therefore suggest the item is sent back using a trackable/recorded delivery method. This is to avoid lost items and so that we can track your item. Please retain your proof of postage.
A refund for the product price will be initiated once we have received the returned goods. The original delivery charge will not be refunded and the customer will be responsible for the delivery cost for returning the items unless there has been an error on our part or the item is faulty. If you order a bespoke guard then we cannot offer a refund or exchange as they will have been made especially for you. Please make sure you take time when measuring.
Please let us know if something is not right. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and we would rather know if you are not happy.
These are washable fabric face masks for children. They are not surgical masks and wearing a mask is no guarantee of protection and the government guidelines of social distancing and the washing of hands should still be adhered to. Wearing a mask in public settings and where other social distancing measure are difficult can help protect others.
Children should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face mask or covering and wash hands thoroughly, immediately after removing.
Thumbsie® recommend purchasing several face masks, so that they can be worn for a short period of time and then put straight into the wash. They are machine washable and we suggest washing them at 60 degrees. We suggest you wash them before use.
Warning: Choking hazard as there are small items (toggle), Thumbsie® face masks are not recommend for children under the age of 3 years old or anyone who has trouble breathing.
A face mask and other cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under the age of 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
The use of a mask alone is insufficient to provide an adequate level of protection, and other measures should also be adopted.
With our face masks there is a no exchanger refund policy.
