Where we Deliver

We are very sorry, we no longer deliver to all EU countries. Packaging laws have made it cost prohibitive for us to deliver to some countries. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Delivery Policy

We are very sorry if your order has not arrived in the time you would expect. We do not used a tracked service or a courier service (unless requested) as we feel the cost to our customers may be cost prohibitive, but we do use a first class service.  We are unable to check the progress of your order once it has left our workshop. If you are outside the UK it might be worth checking with your local Post Office as there may be local customs/tax charges to pay. These charge will be your responsibility  Please be patient and do get in touch if you believe your order has been lost. We can not be held responsible if your order has not arrived and the incorrect shipping address was given (however small the mistake).

Royal Mail state: Compensation for loss will not be considered for an item that Royal Mail has not delivered or attempted to deliver until after 10 working days after the due date. (Please bear in mind that strike days and weekends are not working days). All orders will be sent within 5 calendar days after the date of our Order Confirmation. Orders will be delivered by the Royal Mail using their 24 hour service if in the UK. If your delivery address is in the UK and your order has not arrived within 10 working days, you should contact us so we can investigate this further. If your delivery address is in Europe allow 20 days and if your delivery address is in the Rest of the World then please allow 35 days before contacting us. If your delivery address is outside of the UK we will use Royal Mail first class service which is not trackable and we will therefore not be able to tell you how much longer your order will be after dispatch. Should you wish to have it sent tracked then please email us on heelo@thumbsie.co.uk and we will be able to advise you of the additional cost.

In the event an Order is requested for delivery outside of the UK you must specify the destination of delivery within your Order and the price will be calculated for you. If you order any Goods from our website for international delivery, your order may be subject to import VAT, duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination and you will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before ordering any Goods from us.

We offer free First Class UK delivery on orders of three fabric guards or more and ALL OF OUR BUNDLES. For other orders postage and packaging is charged at £2.20 per parcel for first class UK postage. Please note we will not be able to provide a tracking number.

Postage and packaging is charged at £3.45 per order for first-class postage for European countries outside of the UK. Please note that Custom charges and country import taxes may apply and that you will be responsible for paying the charges. Should you wish to pay the VAT upfront then please order from our Etsy Shop where VAT is collected on ordering.

We no longer ship to Belgium from our website because BPOST charge an admin fee of €18.50 if VAT is not collected in advance, however you can order from our Etsy Shop where VAT is collected on ordering.

Postage and packaging is charged at £4.90 per order for the rest of the World outside of Europe. Please note that Custom charges and country taxes may apply and that you will be responsible for paying them. Should you wish to pay the VAT upfront then please order from our Etsy Shop where VAT is collected on ordering. 

If your shipping address is in Dubai, then we will need a PO BOX Number in order to post it. With delivery to some countries we may suggest you pay an additional charge for tracking.

Exchanges

If you have made a mistake and ordered the wrong size, don’t worry just drop us an email on hello@thumbsie.co.uk and we will happily send an alternative size when we receive the others back. To receive a refund you must contact us before returning the thumb guards within 48 hours of receiving your Thumbsie(s)®. Please contact us for a returns address and return in the original packaging. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR OR WASH THE FABRIC GUARD as we will not be able to exchange or refund it and return in their original packaging, in a saleable condition. You will be responsible for the postage of the return and may be charged for the postage of the correct order, tracked is preferable so you can make a claim with the provider should it get lost. Please note that Custom charges may apply if you are retuning them from outside the UK, and that you will be responsible for paying the charges.

If you ordered a bespoke guard then we cannot offer a refund or exchange as they will have been made especially for you. Please make sure you take time when measuring.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Fabric Guards

By law, we must provide goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described at the time of purchase. If any thumb or finger guards you have purchased do not comply and, for example, have faults or are damaged when you receive them, or if you receive incorrect guards, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible to inform us of the fault, damage or error, and to arrange for the following remedy:

Due to the nature of the Goods, they are only designed to last a short amount of time which is dependant on usage. However, if there is any obvious damage at the time of receiving the Goods, please contact us.

To return Goods to us for any reason please contact us to arrange for the return. We will be fully responsible for the costs of returning Goods if they are faulty or incorrect ones sent and will post out a returns envelope for you.

Before Use

Please try on your thumb or finger gloves as soon as you can to ensure you are happy with the sizing and comfort. The gloves should fit comfortably around the wrist.  If you need to exchange them please see below. If you are happy with your purchase then please wash the items before use. We take great care whilst making your thumb and finger gloves but we do recommend pre-washing especially if your child has known allergies. Wash on a 30-degree delicate setting or hand wash; use a low temperature if tumble drying and a standard iron setting.

Please bear in mind that these thumb and finger guards are a tool to aid children to stop sucking. Success is not guaranteed. The parent/carer will need to encourage the child to stop thumb sucking. Reward charts and our book ‘Thumbs up for Ted’s Thumbsie’ are designed to help with this.

To receive a refund you must contact us before returning the thumb guards within 30 days of receiving your Thumbsie(s)®. We will then provide you with a returns address. Please return your fabric guards in their original packaging. Please note that Custom charges may apply if you are retuning them from outside the UK, and that you will be responsible for paying the postage and any import VAT and taxes.

We have a non-returnable policy if the Thumbsie® thumb and finger guards have been worn or washed, unless they are faulty.

Please note we are not liable for any packages lost in the post, and therefore suggest the item is sent back using a trackable/recorded delivery method. This is to avoid lost items and so that we can track your item. Please retain your proof of postage.

A refund for the product price will be initiated once we have received the returned goods. The original delivery charge will not be refunded and the customer will be responsible for the delivery cost for returning the items unless there has been an error on our part or the item is faulty. If you order a bespoke guard then we cannot offer a refund or exchange as they will have been made especially for you. Please make sure you take time when measuring.

Please let us know if something is not right. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and we would rather know if you are not happy.
