Once again Thumbsie® has been recognised by The Small Awards, this time in the Digital Star category for it’s unique thumb and finger sucking soltuion. The awards, organised by Small Business Britain, celebrate the 5.8 million small businesses in the UK and this year the spotlight is on the sector’s crucial role in helping the country through the pandemic crisis.
The awards ceremony was due to take place in September in London, however in light of the current situation, Small Business Britain has made a proactive move to hold a virtual event in July, celebrating all of the businesses as soon as possible. The event will involve Facebook Live interviews and is being promoted heavily on social media which the organisers hope will help to provide a much needed boost to small businesses as they aim to get back on their feet,
Jo Bates, owner of Thumbsie ® said, ‘We are so thrilled to be nominated in the Small Awards again, and I am particularly delighted this year to be representing one of many small businesses which have worked so hard to keep serving our customers and to keep staff employed during the pandemic. I commend Small Business Britain for bringing this event forward at short notice to bring a spotlight on the small business backbone of the UK.’
The Small Awards promise to add a sparkle of fun throughout the proceedings and are aiming for the virtual event to have the same element of celebration and entertainment. They are also hoping to give all in attendance a chance to virtually network during the event and celebrate their success in reaching the final.
Judged by a panel of leading enterprise experts, the winners of all categories, along with the overall winner of Small Business of the Year, will be announced on 2 July 2020, fingers crossed to us.
