The Family Network is a dynamic, business community created to support and encourage entrepreneurs. It is especially focused on offering opportunities for mums, dads and families who work for themselves to share skills, ideas, support and get recommendations and endorsements.
Jo Bates, found and owner of Thumbsie® said, ‘Once again I am thrilled that our thumb and finger guards which have helped so many families to stop thumb and finger sucking, have been recognised in a national award competition. There were fantastic products in the finals of these awards, all of which support parents; it was a real honour to be chosen as the winner of “Best Product”.
We have worked so hard this year, to supply face masks to support families through the pandemic, this feels like a real boost and affirmation of our work. We are really grateful for the support and recognition from the Family Network.’
The black tie gala awards ceremony was postponed twice due to Covid, then the virtual awards had to be cancelled too, so the news eventually came via Facebook Live; another enterprising way of adapting to these strange times. It was sad not to be celebrating with all of the other finalists but we did our best to celebrate whilst staying at home!
Thumbsie® has now been crowned Best Product in the Family Network Awards, Innovation of the Year in the British Dentistry Awards and Best Consumer Product at the Best Business Women Awards 2019. We look forward to competing for more awards as it helps us to reach families who need our help to stop sucking and in particular the stress associated with the process. Get in touch if you think that we could help you.
